Carbon Crusaders: Low Emissions Commuting!

In March, I had the privilege of being a part of a nationally broadcasted panel for EcoSchools. The panel was part of the EcoSummit 2023, which is an annual event hosted by EcoSchools Canada that brings together educators, students, and other stakeholders to discuss sustainability and environmental education.

The panel was titled "EcoSummit 2023: Low-Carbon Commuting Panel" and focused on exploring new and creative ways to teach students about sustainability and environmental issues. Dan was joined on the panel by several other experts in the field, including:

Nicole Roach, Sustainable Transportation Manager at Green Communities Canada & Co-Founder at Women in Urbanism Canada.

I was excited and honoured to be part of such a distinguished panel and to have the opportunity to share my experiences and insights on sustainable transportation and how to deliver on social impact within our communities with educators and students across Canada.

Overall, the panel was a great success, and I was grateful for the opportunity to be part of such an important conversation. I commended EcoSchools Canada for their leadership in promoting sustainability and environmental education and learned from the other insightful panelists throughout our discussion. I left the panel feeling inspired and energized, ready to continue youth education and empowerment and to help shape the future of environmental education and access in Canada.
