Dan has fostered community connection and engagement in a variety of roles including his work as a Community Producer & Host for YourTV Kingston where he has written and produced over 40 segments to raise awareness on sustainability, including the documentary “A World Without Trash: Designing the Circular Economy.”

From 2010-2016, Dan worked for the City of Kingston as a Public Education and Promotions Coordinator, garnering new community partners for the Sustainable Kingston Plan, mentoring and judging student competitions, and seeking out public engagement during the development of the Kingston Climate Action Plan.

Since 2020, Dan has worked with Loyalist Township as a Climate Action Coordinator helping build and execute community engagement strategies per the ResiLienT Loyalist Township Climate Action Plan.

In January 2023, Dan officially co-founder Get on the Bus, a national movement to inspire a youth transit revolution in communities everywhere. As Co-Founder and Director, he is helping build a network of communities that are investing in youth transit education and free youth passes and providing resources, support, and connections to help them launch their own youth transit programs. Since its launch, Dan has been involved in hundreds of conversations nationally, supporting communities from grassroots organizations to school boards and municipalities. It’s all about showing groups how new systems and connections can be the start of something truly transformative.
